Learn the vertical progression techniques (TPV) necessary for safe vertical and horizontal caving with qualified professionals with extensive experience.

Theoretical-practical course adapted and personalised to the experience and needs of the students.

INTRODUCTORY COURSE:

Personal and collective equipment: its characteristics and use.
Horizontal progression: How to negotiate small difficulties, ledges, chutes, rolling mills…
Vertical progression: Descent and ascent by means of a fixed rope, progression on handrails.
Safety: Most frequent risks and how to act in case of emergency.
Topography: Basic details of interpretation and preparation of a speleological visit.

ADVANCED TRAINING COURSE:

Advanced progression techniques: Fractionations, knot steps, apparatus changes, etc.
Installation techniques: Knots, installation of headers, splitters, diverters and handrails.
Safety and self-help: Prevention, rescue, descent, ascent and progression of an injured person.
Topography: Prospective surveys, data collection, plan and profile drawings, topography programmes.
Planning of visits: Search for information, parameters to be taken into account, preparation of material.
Guidance: Group leadership, work roles and peer assurance.

Depending on the capacity of the group and the duration of the course, the subject matter will be further developed.
