Like every Holy Week we have met with the Gorbeialdea crew for another year of caving. The objective of this outing is to learn about the history and mythology of the place by immersing yourself in the Mairulegorreta caves.
The Mairulegorreta caves are located in Murua, Álava. The cave is located on the slopes of Mount Gorbea. It is one of the best-known caves in Álava, on the one hand for the Basque Festival that has been held since 1963; on the other, on the occasion of a labyrinthine route that will make you feel like a speleologist. Inside the cave we find different galleries: La Capilla, El Zarpazo, Peña Grande or Pozo del Diablo.
A wonderful place to get to know our surroundings and feel like a speleologist!
With this outing we will have the opportunity to live one of the most adventurous experiences in Gorbeia mixing history, mythology and speleology.
The duration of this experience for the Mairulegorreta caves will be 4-5 hours, the duration of the entrance to the cave is 3 hours but it is extended for explanatory reasons. It can be adapted to all levels: either as a family action (easy) or as a brave adventure.
